Women In Haitian History
A panorama of women who have impacted political life in our country
Produced by the Women's Ministry on the status and rights of Haitian women
in honor of International Womens' Day March 8, 1998 as part of an exposition
featured at the Musee du Pantheon National Haitien from March 6th - 16th, 1998.

FAVILEK:
Fanm Viktim Leve Kanpe (Women Victims Stand Up) is a group of Haitian women survivors who provide trauma counseling, support groups, expose rape and other violence against women by organizing their own theater groups.
ENFOFANM:
(The National and International Center for Documentation and Information on Women in Haiti). Enfofanm assembles documentation on women and their struggles, puts out a publication called Ayiti Fanm and organizes Haitian women in Haiti to resist violence.
KAY FANM:
(Women’s House) is a feminist organization that struggles to improve the status of women. It provides legal, health, literacy and shelter services for women.
SOFA:
Soladirite Fanm Ayisien: (Haitian Women in Solidarity) With over 12 community centers in Haiti providing domestic violence prevention and intervention services. It is the largest feminist organization made up of both middle class and peasant, grassroots and professional women engaged in consciousness raising, training, education, shelter support and health care.
MUDHA:
Movimiento De Mujeres Dominico-Haitianas (The Haitian Women’s Movement in the Dominican Republic). They operate the only school and only women’s health clinic in the Batey. They focus on eradication racism and ensure Haitian children’s rights to citizenship.
